The following prices are for acting and modeling headshots only. Please contact me for business, public relations, real estate, musician and all other photography needs.
THE GOAL
Your headshot is a useful component in how you present yourself and your values to the world. That is why at Shawn Brooks Photography, I focus on these values in creating your headshot. All your details, from clothing to makeup to the expression you want to convey are considered in creating the headshot that is right for you. My job is making you look great, and in the style you prefer. What follows are some common questions you may have about your photo session.
THE SESSION
For a typical session, I shoot between Two (2) – Three (3) different looks which gives you a wide range of expressions and various shots for marketing purposes. After we shoot each look, which may include several dozen shots, we will go over the shots together. By shooting and editing, we will work together to cover anything that we may have missed so you’ll know exactly what you’ve got when you leave the studio. Usually we end with anywhere between 75 and 150 shots.
Your session images will be available on your own password-protected web gallery for your friends, family, agents, and so forth, who might help you choose the master 8×10 shots included in your session. The gallery will be available to you for 3 months.
RETOUCHING AND PRINTING
Your package includes three (3) retouched poses and formatted in 8×10 for printing convenience. Your name appearing on your 8×10 is available without additional charge. The retouched images will be delivered electronically either by email or FTP downloading. I will grant you a print release for use with any media. Additional retouched images are $45.00 per image.
YOUR CLOTHING
Please bring between five and ten different outfits for your photos (tops only, unless you want some shots of your full body). Bring what you love to wear, ranging from tee-shirts, tank tops, sweaters, and jackets. If you don’t like it, it won’t look good in the photo. Generally, solid colors work better than complicated patterns.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Makeup and hair is not included in the session fee. I suggest an expert applies the makeup specifically for our lighting to produce a clean and natural look.
The hair / makeup artist requires cash the day of the shoot.
SCHEDULING
Please schedule as far in advance as possible by calling (770) 780-2695.
I recommend that we have a phone consultation before your appointment, to go over any questions you may have and to ensure that you feel comfortable with your shoot.
If for any reason you need to change your appointment, I require a 48-hour notice. Otherwise, the deposit can be forfeited. However, if we are able to fill your slot with another client, then we can credit your deposit toward a rescheduled session.
PAYMENT and DEPOSIT
The headshot session fee is $350 for women and $300 for men. There is a non-refundable $150 deposit that goes toward the total. If the retainer is not received at least one week prior to the scheduled appointment, the session can be canceled. The remaining balance is due the day of the session.
I accept PayPal, cash, check, MasterCard, and Visa.
If for any reason after the initial session, you want to add another look or two, we can set up another appointment at a discounted rate within 30 days of the first session. This one-hour, two-looks session costs $155 and includes two retouched 8x10s. This session does not include makeup and hair.
